Right Lane: Jim Kimbrough Runs 13.571/82.28/6.041, Now #5; C/DA Index: 7.53, Prior Best: 6.986/192.41/-0.544, Was #5

11:45 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 54 percent, barometer 29.28 inches, adjusted altitude 3,022 feet, track temperature 102 degrees.

Kimbrough's dragster stumbled off the line and he took it easy down the track. Ackerman made his quickest pass of the weekend and moved up to the 14th spot.
