CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Eighth annual NHRA Carolina Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.567/211.26, Now #5; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.598/209.59, Now #11; Best prior run: 18.098/26.97, Was #15

Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 43 percent, barometer 29.23 inches, adjusted altitude 3,474 feet, track temperature 105 degrees.

Nobile launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to the number five spot. Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.759, 660ft-4.232/167.47 mph, 1,000ft-5.500. Delco with a clean pass to get in the show for now.

Right Lane: Wally Stroupe No Time, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.895/199.70, Was #16

Stroupe's car died at the end of the burnout and he couldn't get it to refire and is pushed back to the starting line. Gaydosh improves, but not enough to get in the show and will start over tomorrow.

Laughlin launched hard and keep it hooked up to get in the show. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.769, 660ft-4.252/166.44 mph, 1,000ft-5.530. Butner was straight down the groove with a great looking pass to go to the number one spot., Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.738, 660ft-4.204/168.03 mph, 1,000ft-5.469.

Johnson improves on his pass from earlier and moves up the ladder a couple spots. Skillman with a real nice pass to get into the top half of the show. Drew Skillman's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.225/168.09 mph, 1,000ft-5.492.

Line with a real nice pass to move into the top half of the show. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.225/167.88 mph, 1,000ft-5.491.

McGaha with a good looking pass, but slows from earlier today and he will not improve. Morgan with a real nice pass to move into the top of the show. Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.218/167.80 mph, 1,000ft-5.484.
