This is the first time Connolly and Lucas have faced each other in eliminations. Pressure is on Connolly's team because an oildown here without winning the round would put him back out of the Countdown. Tough decision! Whoever wins will be the 27th different Indy winner.

Connolly's car spun the tires and banged the blower ... and everyone held their breath. No oil, he's in the Countdown.

Lucas was unchalllenged after 200 feet and in his home town and at a track that bears the family name, Lucas adds an Indy Wally to his collection.

This is Lucas' 12th career win, in 19 final rounds, and his first final round of the season.
