Whiteley is 1 - 0 against Bohl in prior events and this is the first time they have faced each other in a final round. Bohl has one national event career win and one runner-up. Whiteley has three career wins and four runner-ups. She won the 2015 Seattle event and was the runner-up here in 2013.

Bohl gets a big starting line advantage and holds off Whiteley's Camaro. Bohl opened up his lead until the 330 lights and then Whiteley started to wind him back in. She runs out of track and Bohl gets the win.
