Brown was a champion in Pro Stock Motorcycle and Connolly was an accomplished Pro Stock driver. Now both are in "the long cars" and Brown has won all four of their prior matchups. But this one is critical to Connolly - he needs to get to the final round to get into the Countdown.

Connolly had a medium-sized holeshot and a clean run, shredding the blower belt in the lights.

Dave Connolly's incremental margins: 60ft(0.024), 330 ft(0.024), 660ft(0.014). MOV: 0.0171 seconds (approximately 8 feet).

Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.855 sec., 330ft-2.164, 660ft-3.070/282.36 mph.
Dave Connolly's incremental times: 60ft-0.851 sec., 330ft-2.160, 660ft-3.076/279.56 mph.

Lucas and Crampton have each won 1 time against the other in prior events, both coming in round one matchups.

This was Lucas Oil Black versus Lucas Oil White and Black got the win light. Lucas had a small holeshot, but Crampton took it back by the 330, then Lucas took it back to the 660. Both cars were hazing the tires on the top end and there was a flash of flame from Crampton's engine in the lights.

Morgan Lucas' incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(0.017), 330 ft(-0.002), 660ft(0.005). MOV: 0.0126 seconds (approximately 6 feet).
