BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 61st annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, amount over/under index, and position in order following run, class and class index:

A nice clean pass for the the first Comp car down the track. I believe there are only sixty cars entered, so thereisn't likely to be a bump spot.

Tough B/D index and Chamness runs close to fifty under.

Right Lane: Danny Holt Runs 8.275/164.59/-0.325, Now #3 C/EA Index: 8.60

Strong pass for Schuck, near the national record.

Looks like the computer has the wrong class E/SMA for Skillman. While he got his first Comp win last week. -1.027 under the index is a little quick. Nope, it's really a B/EA and he is "only" -0.547 under.
