NORWALK, Ohio -- Having declared 2014 as one of the most successful seasons in Summit Motorsports Park's history, its officials are proud to announce the release of its 2015 schedule of events.

Massive fireworks displays will be part of the 9th Annual Mickey Mart Rewards Cavalcade of Stars, May 15-17, 2015 9th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, July 2-5, 2015 14th Annual Wanda Brand AkzoNobel Blue Suede Cruise, July 17-19, 2015 and the 38th Annual Auto Plus Night Under Fire, Aug. 15-16, 2015 at Summit Motorsports Park.

The 2015 season opens on April 18th with the 34th running of the Spring Warm Up. The largest NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in the country returns to the legendary Norwalk, Ohio quarter-mile on May 15-17 for the 9th Annual Mickey Mart Rewards Cavalcade of Stars.

Currently fifth in NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series North Central Region Top Alcohol Funny Car points, Todd Robertson competed in his Chevrolet Monte Carlo-bodied car at the 8th Annual Mickey Mart Rewards Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser in May, 2014 at Summit Motorsports Park.

June 5-6 sees a new event at Summit Motorsports Park - the inaugural running of Super Summit - which was previously held at Summit Racing Equipment's corporate headquarters in Tallmadge, Ohio. Super Summit offers a car show, manufacturer showcase, fun-runs, autocross and an appearance by the legendary Monster Truck Big Foot, which is celebrating forty years of crushing cars from coast to coast. Ford fans will enjoy the 12th Annual NMRA Ford Super Nationals, June 12-14.

8000-horsepower Fuel cars and two days of spectacular fireworks work in perfect harmony to celebrate July 4th weekend with the 9th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, July 2-5.

Funny Car driver John Force and his Castrol GTX High Mileage Ford Mustang were in Summit Motorsports Park's winner's circle for the first time at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in July, 2014.

Two weeks later, July 17-19, thousands of 1972 and older Street Rods from all over the Midwest invade Norwalk for the 14th Annual Wanda Brand AkzoNobel Blue Suede Cruise. An action-packed month concludes with the 24th Annual Ames Performance Pontiac Nationals, July 31-Aug. 2.

Brittany Force wheeled her Castrol Edge Top Fuel dragster to a win at the 37th Annual Night Under Fire presented by Kelly Services in August, 2014 at Summit Motorsports Park.

The largest single-day drag race in the world highlights August with the 38th Annual Night Under Fire, Aug. 15-16. Over fifty performers, including John Force, will create memories of a lifetime in one single night capped off with a $100,000-plus fireworks show choreographed to music. The 9th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Nationals marks the end of another action-packed month, Aug. 28-30.

Summit Motorsports Park hosts the 3rd Annual Monster Mopar Weekend, Sept. 11-13, and showcasing the very best heads-up racing has to offer, the much-anticipated Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit XIII rolls into Norwalk Sept. 18-20.

The Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit XIII will be Sept. 18-20, 2015 at Summit Motorsports Park. At the 2014 event, Frank Pompilio drove his '67 Mustang to a 4.16 at 188 mph for the win in Outlaw 10.5 presented by LaFontaine Performance Center.

The year concludes with the 42nd running of the largest sportsman drag race in the world, the Quick Fuel Technology Halloween Classic XLII, Oct. 18-25.

"We had a tremendous 2014 season, with a record number of people coming out for the events," said Bill Bader, Jr., president of Summit Motorsports Park. "It was one of the best seasons in our history, and we attribute much of that to the popularity of the events as well as the weather conditions."

To cater to the enthusiasm enveloping the park's events, fans may begin purchasing tickets at noon on Nov. 17, 2014, for the 9th Annual Mickey Mart Rewards Cavalcade of Stars, 12th Annual NMRA Ford Super Nationals, 9th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, 14th Annual Wanda Brand AkzoNobel Blue Suede Cruise, 24th Annual Ames Performance Pontiac Nationals, 38th Annual Auto Plus Night Under Fire, 9th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Nationals, Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit XIII and the 3rd Annual Monster Mopar Weekend.

A variety of ticketing options are available, from general admission to John Force Winner's Circle Seats, and there has been no increase in pricing over the 2014 season.

"We believe that the momentum we experienced in 2014 will carry over to 2015," said Bader, Jr. "For that reason, I would encourage people to get their tickets because I don't want them to not have a seat."
