POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 50th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Jeff Isbell Runs 6.747/205.44, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.596/132.11, Was #16

Weather conditions: air temperature 70 degrees, relative humidity 55 percent, barometer 28.86 inches, adjusted altitude 2,598 feet, track temperature 80 degrees.

Isbell made a move toward the centerline, but reeled it in to make a full pass, but won't get in the show and will start over tomorrow.

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.851/163.89, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.916/159.08, Was #15
Right Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.574/210.37, Now #9; Best prior run: 10.672/85.04, Was #17

Anderson pushed in the clutch early and will start over tomorrow. Brogdon launched hard and was straight down the groove to get in the show. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.758, 660ft-4.232/167.09 mph, 1,000ft-5.502.

Right Lane: Joey Grose Runs 7.163/194.21, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.509/186.95, Was #17

Nobile like Anderson clicked it off early. Grose makes a move in the right direction, but will not get in the show. They will both start over tomorrow.

Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.585/210.41, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.583/210.67, Was #10

Stanfield makes an improvement on his pass from earlier today, but not enough to get in the show. Hartford is in a Pontiac this weekend. Hartford with another good pass, but will not improve. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.764, 660ft-4.242/166.62 mph, 1,000ft-5.514.

Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.548/210.70, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.560/210.47, Was #7

Gaines with his quickest pass, but will stay in the number 12 spot. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-1.006 sec., 330ft-2.781, 660ft-4.254/167.12 mph, 1,000ft-5.521. McGaha with a good looking pass and moves into the top half of the show. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.740, 660ft-4.211/167.24 mph, 1,000ft-5.479.

No help here for Morgan, but will stay in the show today. Gray made a quick move toward the centerline and clicked it off.

Coughlin with another good pass, the second quickest of the round, but gets bumped back one spot by Gray. Gray with the quickest pass of the event to go to the number one spot...Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.966 sec., 330ft-2.724, 660ft-4.192/167.63 mph, 1,000ft-5.456.

Enders-Stevens with the second quickest pass of the round and Line with the third quickest pass of the round, so she will gain another point in the Championship battle.
