LAS VEGAS - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 14th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 68 degrees, relative humidity 34 percent, barometer 27.79 inches, adjusted altitude 3,495 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

Nobile is 4 - 0 against Brogdon in prior events. Nobile goes red and gives Brogdon the win. Brogdon broke the engine on the burnout, but went ahead and staged it. Brogdon's car didn't move when the light turned green, but he still got the win.

Greg Anderson's four wins at this event are the most for any Pro Stock driver. Greg hasn't won a race since Englishtown in 2012..Jonathan Gray has 19 round wins this year and that is more than any other rookie driver in any class this year. Gray is 2 - 1 against Anderson in prior events. Gray with a great light, but Anderson has the difference made up by the time they go by the Christmas tree and takes the win. Gray got loose on the top end.

Jeff Isbell is making his first professional start today. He becomes the 436th driver to make a start in the Pro Stock class. Jeff won the spring race here in 2008 in the Top Alcohol Dragster class. Erica Enders-Stevens set both ends of the track record in qualifying. She is 19-1 in opening round matches this year. Enders-Stevens with the starting line advantage and never trailed as Isbell has problems and pushed in the clutch early. Enders-Stevens with the quickest pass of race day and she will have lane choice over Brogdon in the next round.

Gray is 8 - 0 against Morgan in prior events. Morgan with the starting line advantage and then had a lot of tire shake, but drove through it, but Gray chased him down by 200 feet and took the win. Gray with his quickest pass of the weekend and the second quickest pass of race day for the win. Gray will have lane choice over Anderson in the next round.
