LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 14th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Jeff Isbell Runs 6.944/196.56, Now #1
Right Lane: Steve Schmidt Runs 16.999/40.88, Now #2

Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 25 percent, barometer 27.71 inches, adjusted altitude 4,529 feet, track temperature 105 degrees.

Isbell is making his Pro Stock debut. Isbell with a real nice pass, straight down the groove. Schmidt with violent tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off.

This was a good side-by-side drag race by number one and two in the points standing. Enders-Stevens goes to the number three spot and earns one bonus point.
