MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 30th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Brian Pretzel Runs 7.981/124.18, Now #2
Right Lane: Angelle Sampey Runs 6.994/190.06, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 54 percent, barometer 29.39 inches, adjusted altitude 2,254 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

Pretzel pulls in the clutch early. Sampey with a clean pass to start the weekend.
