Hines gets out of the gate first and extends his lead all the way through the run. Hines takes the win and will go to the final round for the sixth time this year.

Smith is 10 - 8 against Johnson in prior events.

Johnson gets out of the gate first and it pays off for him. Smith was gaining on him from half track to the end of the run but ran out of racetrack. Johnson takes the hole-shot win and will go to his third final of the year.

Steve Johnson's incremental margins: 60ft(0.017), 330 ft(0.032), 660ft(0.022), 1,000ft(0.014). MOV: 0.0029 seconds (approximately 10 inches).

Hines will have lane choice over Johnson in the final round.
