CONCORD, N.C. - The Pep Boys NHRA Carolina Nationals will be completed elsewhere.

The four professional categories (Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle) will be completed during qualifying sessions at next weekend's 29Th Annual AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals at Dallas.

The completion dates and locations for the Sportsman categories (including Top Alcohol) are still being worked out with the remaining competitors in those categories.

Rumor has it that remaining three rounds of Pro Modified eliminations will be contested at St. Louis, but that is not yet official.

Staying another day or bringing the race back following the Maple Grove event were considered, but the logistics of moving the teams and the NHRA equipment 1,000 miles to Ennis, Texas were not workable and the October date conflicts with the Charlotte Cup race.

As soon as the NHRA announces the rest of the makeup dates and locations, we will pass them along.
