CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Seventh annual Pep Boys NHRA Carolina Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 6.703/206.70, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.714/207.24, Was #13
Right Lane: Jonathan Gray Runs 6.641/209.20, Now #11; Best prior run: 22.992/23.25, Was #16

Weather conditions: air temperature 86 degrees, relative humidity 59 percent, barometer 29.29 inches, adjusted altitude 3,428 feet, track temperature 114 degrees.

Gaydosh improves, but still gets bumped back one spot by Gray. He will start over tomorrow...Gray gets in the show for now. Jonathan Gray's incremental times: 60ft-1.010 sec., 330ft-2.795, 660ft-4.281/166.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.563.

Right Lane: Shane Tucker Runs 7.038/159.25, Now #16; Best prior run: 22.689/35.60, Was #16

Brogdon will not improve on his run from earlier today and will start over tomorrow. Tucker was loose and skating around and clicked it off.

Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.701/206.67, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.714/205.04, Was #15

McGaha will not improve on his run from earlier today and will stay in the number 10 spot. Morgan makes a move in the right direction, but will not get in the show.

Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.651/209.20, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.649/208.91, Was #12

Nobile launched hard and makes the quickest pass of the session to go to the number four spot. Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.767, 660ft-4.251/166.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.531. No help here for Gaines and he will stay in the number 12 spot.

Johnson ties Nobile for the quickest pass of the round and he will get the position based on his faster speed. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.773, 660ft-4.255/166.31 mph, 1,000ft-5.532. Gray is just a couple ticks slower than his pass from earlier today.

Enders-Stevens launched hard and keep it hooked up to make the quickest pass of the round. she will not improve on here No. 1 qualifying time. Erica Enders-Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.771, 660ft-4.249/166.95 mph, 1,000ft-5.524. connolly was right there with her with the second quickest pass of the round and he will stay in the number three spot. Dave Connolly's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.768, 660ft-4.250/166.46 mph, 1,000ft-5.528.
