CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Seventh annual Pep Boys NHRA Carolina Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.610/209.23, Now #1
Right Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 6.714/207.24, Now #2

Weather conditions: air temperature 86 degrees, relative humidity 59 percent, barometer 29.35 inches, adjusted altitude 3,375 feet, track temperature 124 degrees.

Stevens with a good looking pass to start the weekend. Richie Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-1.000 sec., 330ft-2.775, 660ft-4.254/166.56 mph, 1,000ft-5.533. Gaydosh with a clean pass.

Right Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.664/207.78, Now #2

Tucker with severe tire shake and clicked it off. Brogdon was straight down the groove...Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-1.007 sec., 330ft-2.800, 660ft-4.292/165.38 mph, 1,000ft-5.579.

Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.618/209.72, Now #2

Morgan ties Gaydosh's E.T., but loses the position based on his slower speed. Anderson goes to the number two spot...he has top speed of the event so far. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-1.005 sec., 330ft-2.789, 660ft-4.269/166.74 mph, 1,000ft-5.544.

Left Lane: Jonathan Gray Runs 22.992/23.25, Now #8
Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.637/207.66, Now #3

Gray with a lot of tire shake and clicked it off. McGaha with the quickest 60-foot time of the session, but gave it back on the top end and he goes to the number three spot. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.775, 660ft-4.264/165.21 mph, 1,000ft-5.551.

Right Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.625/208.49, Now #3

Gaines with a clean pass to start the weekend. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-1.014 sec., 330ft-2.803, 660ft-4.291/165.86 mph, 1,000ft-5.572. Enders-Stevens launched hard and keep it hooked up to make the quickest and fastest pass of the session. Erica Enders-Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.771, 660ft-4.247/167.26 mph, 1,000ft-5.519. Line tied his teammate's E.T., but will give up the position based on his slower speed. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.783, 660ft-4.265/166.64 mph, 1,000ft-5.543.
