This is the first time Glidden and Farber have faced each other in eliminations. They had to sit through a brief shower before they could fire their engines.

Glidden got the "yips" and went way red. Farber gets the easy win/

Smith is 5 - 3 against Coughlin in prior events.
On a small holeshot, Smith gets the win, then Coughlin's car disappears in a huge cloud of white smoke. It was a close race all the way.
Rickie Smith's incremental margins: 60ft(0.020), 330 ft(0.052), 660ft(0.028), 1,000ft(0.011). MOV: 0.0033 seconds (approximately 14 inches).

Smith will have lane choice against Farber in the final round.
