Payne is 1 - 0 against Lindberg in prior events. However, Lindberg has had the commanding car through qualifying and the first two rounds of eliminations.

They left almost together and then Lindberg's car balked, allowing Payne to get a big lead and the win.

Robertson is 1 - 0 against Tigges in prior events.

Robertson went red by seven thousandths, then Tigges got loose and took out a timing block, DQ'ing his run and reinstating Robertson as the winner. He will race Payne for the U.S. Nationals title, Payne has lane choice.
