Alan Ellis has a 0.11 CIC penalty; Mike DePalma has a 0.18 CIC penalty. DePalma has four National Event wins and won here in 2002. Ellis is the 2013 Competition Eliminator Champion and has five National Event wins.

DePalma gets the head start and scores a better RT too. Ellis has the power, but just can't run him down.

DePalma is the winner, but takes some serious CIC penalty to the next race!
