Martin gets a big lead at the green and can only hold off a charging Whiteley until just after the 60 foot light. He slows and has the chutes out early.
Strong pass for Whiteley, with the quickest time of the session, for the easy win.

Demke may have had some problems and is very late getting the engine started. Bateman completed his burnout and was backing up before he did a short hop. He quickly backs up and stages.
Demke gets a small 0.005 head start and holds off Bateman's fueler until right before the 1000 foot lights.
Bateman was straight and clean to capture the win, but gives up lane choice to Whiteley next round.
