LAS VEGAS -- Mike De Palma, Jesse Adams and Joe Roubicek all held on to their No. 1 qualifying positions from Friday and will lead their fields into Sunday's eliminations for the NHRA JEGS Pacific SPORTSnationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

De Palma's Trans Am went 9.003 seconds (0.667 under the index) for the top spot in Comp Eliminator and is followed by Clint Sallee, Glendive, Mont., and Tom Mettler, Bakersfield, Calif., 0.653 under and 0.604 under respectively.

Adams, out of Yuba City, Calif., clocked in at 6.128 seconds, 223.25 mph in Top Dragster with Lyle Burnham and Stephanie Crifasi sitting two and three. Burnham went 6.047 at 211.53 mph and Crifasi was 6.533, 205.19

Roubicek, Westlake Village, Calif., drove his '68 Camaro to the top in Top Sportsman with a pass of 6.650 seconds at 206.64 mph. Tommy Turner, Naples, Fla., landed in the No. 2 position running 6.728, 210.34 and Gary Ross, Trabuco Canyon, Calif., is third with a 206.39 mph run in 6.736 seconds.

In Stock and Super Stock it was Stephen Hagberg and Bo Butner earning the No. 1 qualifying positions. Hagberg, Brethoud, Colo., took his '64 2-door sedan on lap of 10.133 seconds with Randi Lyn Shipp, Floyds Knobs, Ind., in second. Butner, also from Floyd Knobs, Ind., went 9.041 seconds in his '13 Mustang in Super Stock. Frank Grossi, Upland, Calif., and Keith Lynch, Greenville, Ohio, are second and third.

Two brothers lead the Sportsman Motorcycle presented by Harley-Davidson class as Bill and Mike Burkhart sit No. 1 and 2 in the 24-bike field. Bill, Anaheim, Calif., had a 0.001 reaction time on his '08 Hayabusa as did Mike, Huntington Beach, Calif., on his '00 Suzuki. Bill was awarded the No. 1 spot by recording his 0.001 reaction time first. Tom Medlin, La Mirada, Calif., is third at 0.002.

In addition to final qualifying today, racers in Stock and Super Stock ran class eliminations while the Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street competed in special Las Vegas gambler eliminations.
