MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 29th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Joe DeSantis Runs 8.390/115.06, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.037/188.10, Was #13

2:24 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 48 percent, barometer 29.47 inches, adjusted altitude 3,214 feet, track temperature 115 degrees.

There is not a full field here so the final qualifying session will be for position only. DeSantis took his motorcycle to mid track, then backed off the throttle. Can't tell if that was a problem or intentional.

Left Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.993/189.15, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.023/188.15, Was #12

Krawiec moved up one spot with his quickest pass so far.

Left Lane: Chaz Kennedy Runs 7.040/188.17, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.015/177.58, Was #12
Right Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.010/191.29, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.066/188.62, Was #14

Gann had his quickest run of the weekend so far and moved up two spots, pushing Kennedy down in the process.

Left Lane: Scotty Pollacheck Runs 7.003/190.00, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.980/189.79, Was #10
Right Lane: Steve Johnson No Time, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.975/190.24, Was #9

Johnson had problems right from the start and shut down early.

Left Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.996/189.10, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.973/189.84, Was #8
Right Lane: LE Tonglet Runs 6.992/191.84, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.957/190.30, Was #7

Two good rides with no effect.

Left Lane: Adam Arana Runs 6.934/192.74, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.950/192.82, Was #6
Right Lane: John Hall Runs 6.918/192.88, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.914/191.57, Was #5

Arana's ride was a little bit quicker but had not effect on his spot in the order. Hall was just a bit slower.

Right Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.901/193.05, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.862/194.55, Was #2

Neither rider was quicker than he was yesterday.
