Smith was just two points ahead of Arana when this round began and will have to win here to maintain the second spot.

Smith gets out of the gate first and extends his lead at every marker.

Arana Jr is 3 - 0 against Savoie in prior events.

Savoie gets out of the groove and moves toward the centerline. He gets a little past half track, the rear of the back starts moving around and he has to back off the throttle. Arana went right down the groove and pulled away for the win.

Smith will have lane choice over Arana Jr. in the next round.
