ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 28th annual AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals:

7:22 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 85 degrees, relative humidity 35 percent, barometer 29.28 inches, adjusted altitude 3,007 feet, track temperature 107 degrees.

Pierce is 1 - 0 against Booher in prior events.

Pierce pulls the wheels off the line, pedals, pulls the wheels again, then has to back off the throttle. Booher went right down the groove and pulled away for the win.

Brounkowski had a hole or two out on the left side all the way through the run. Severance went right down the groove with his quickest run of the weekend to take the win.

Guest is 1 - 0 against Fair in prior events.

Fair goes up in smoke as soon as he hit the throttle. Guest went right down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to take the win.

This is the first time Callaway and Dreher have faced each other in eliminations.

Dreher gets out of the gate first, leads at the sixty foot mark, but then put put a cylinder. Callaway goes around Dreher just past the sixty foot mark and pulls away with his quickest pass of the year to take the win.

This is the first time Martin and Domingue have faced each other in eliminations.

Domingue goes up in smoke at the hit, pedals once and gives up on the run.Martin makes a decent pass but will give up lane choice to Severance in the next round.

Reichert is 1 - 0 against Thompson in prior events.

Thompson gets off the line first and stays in front for the first 100 feet or so. Reichert goes around him at that point and makes the quickest pass of the round so far to pull away for the win.

Thompson will have lane choice over Booher in the next round.
