Plourd has been to the final round many times, with 14 wins (4 in Stock, 6 in Super Comp & 4 in Super Stock) and 9 runner-up finishes. This is McGinley's first-ever final round.

McGinley did all he could, with a double-oh light, but Plourd was too quick for him and won easily.
