BUDDS CREEK, Md. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in X-Treme Pro Stock at the 2013 X-Treme Drag Racing League, Mayhem at the Creek listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Dean Goforth Runs 9.343/61.01, Now #6; Best prior run: 11.705/40.52, Was #6
Right Lane: Kevin Bealko Runs 8.450/52.54, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.826/57.38, Was #5

6:32 p.m. Both cars launched into severe tire shake and both drivers lifted quickly.

Left Lane: Lester Cooper Runs 4.175/172.98, Now #4; Best prior run: 4.216/172.47, Was #3
Right Lane: John Deflorian Jr. Runs 4.066/178.10, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.223/71.54, Was #4

Two clean runs, Deflorian taking over the #1 spot in style. Cooper also improved, but lost one spot in the order because Deflorian leapfrogged over him.

Lester Cooper's incremental times: 60ft-1.003 sec., 330ft-2.746.
John Deflorian Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.679.

Right Lane: Matt Bertsch Runs 4.327/166.87, Now #2; Best prior run: 4.092/177.14, Was #2

These two led the field after the first session, lost a spot to Deflorian.

DeFlorian had to backpedal to get out of shake midway through this run. Goforth made his second good run of the day, failed to improve.
