COMMERCE, Ga. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Southeast Division, event at Atlanta Dragway listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, amount over/under index, and position in order following run, class and class index:
Left Lane: Rick Hord Runs 6.940/191.08/-0.610, Now #1 CC/A Index: 7.55
Right Lane: Lee Sharp Runs 8.584/158.02/-0.356, Now #2 D/SMA Index: 8.94
3:51 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 85 degrees, relative humidity 47 percent, barometer 29.09 inches, adjusted altitude 3,158 feet, track temperature 115 degrees.
Hord makes a decent pass but was putting smoke
out the left side near the end of the run.
Left Lane: Pat Williams Runs 7.383/193.40/0.163, Now #4 A/AP Index: 7.22
Right Lane: Bruno Massel Runs 6.724/199.70/-0.516, Now #2 K/A Index: 7.24
Massel makes a clean pass and gets in the second spot for now. Williams slows near the end of the run.
Left Lane: Jenny Treadwell Runs 8.060/143.51/-0.190, Now #4 J/D Index: 8.25
Right Lane: Rodney Rosenstiel No Time, Now #6 AA/AM Index: 6.99
Rosenstiel develops a leak and is shut off at the line. Treadwell makes a decent pass and gets in the fourth spot for now.
Left Lane: Larry Pritchett Runs 8.189/166.44/-0.411, Now #3 B/SM Index: 8.60
Right Lane: Glen Treadwell Runs 8.374/137.48/-0.096, Now #6 E/EA Index: 8.47
Pritchett makes a clean pass and gets in the third spot for now.
