CLERMONT, Ind. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, North Central Division, Spring Spectacle of Speed:

Wayne Butler was inserted as alternate for Paul Noakes who was unable to return due to engine damage suffered in his final qualifying round last weekend. Butler gets the starting line advantage, but Harvanek was able to chase him down for the win. Brian Harvanek's MOV: 0.0090 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

Newburgh must of had probles early as he was real late and then clicked it off. Foster takes the win, but clicked it off early.

Bojec is out of the gate first, but Bohl chases him down early and takes the win. Bojec runs his quickest pass of the race in the losing effort. Bohl will have lane choice over Harvanek in the semifinal.
