Tasca III is 6 - 4 against Hagan in prior events. Tasca lost traction just
past the tree. He unsuccessfully tried to pedal through it. Hagan lost the blower belt just before the finish.

This is the 14th time Jeff Arend has qualified 16th in the field. In his previous tries he has won his first round match three times. He has met Robert Hight four times when Robert was #1 and he has yet to beat him in the first round.
This was a pretty good drag race. Arend kept it close all the way down the track.
