Left Lane: Derik Milanesio Runs 21.347/29.79, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.792/153.21, Was #12
Right Lane: William Litton No Time, Now #11; Best prior run: 5.864/251.86, Was #11

10:06 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 25 percent, barometer 27.92 inches, adjusted altitude 3,412 feet.

Megan McKernan is on the bump spot at 5.558. Litton's engine started up and idled briefly before shutting down. The crew worked valiantly, but they just couldn't get it to start again.

Milanesio's dragster strikes the tires hard at the green and he coasts on down.

Left Lane: Megan McKernan Runs 5.467/263.10, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.558/257.43, Was #8
Right Lane: Garrett Bateman Runs 5.465/260.61, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.659/250.32, Was #10

10:09 p.m. It took a couple of minutes to clear the right lane. McKernan is still in the bump spot cross hairs!

Bateman gets away first and picks up a ton to bump McKernan out of the field.

She crosses the finish line right after that and bumps back in, pushing Ahten out. Wild!

Megan McKernan's incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.504, 660ft-3.654/218.34 mph, 1,000ft-4.624.
Garrett Bateman's incremental times: 60ft-0.936 sec., 330ft-2.460, 660ft-3.631/214.86 mph, 1,000ft-4.614.

Left Lane: Johnny Ahten Runs 10.549/88.32, Now #9; Best prior run: 5.526/253.95, Was #9
Right Lane: Scott Carroll Runs 5.773/233.28, Now #10; Best prior run: 5.611/255.24, Was #10

These two are the last pair that can bump in, but Carroll has never been that quick.

Ahten gets a big lead at the green with RT and incrementals, but is done before the 330 lights, as the pipes go wet.

Carroll was on a strong pass, but it sounded like his engine was on the limiter again down track.

Left Lane: Joey Severance Runs 5.426/260.97, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.463/261.47, Was #6
Right Lane: Chris Demke Runs 5.421/263.92, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.463/263.82, Was #5

Severance didn't make a pass in session two, but makes a strong pass this time to move up into the top half of the field for now.

Demke's car made a top end charge to finally get out in front in the lights and take the number three position.

Joey Severance's incremental times: 60ft-0.932 sec., 330ft-2.382, 660ft-3.555/209.98 mph, 1,000ft-4.566.
Chris Demke's incremental times: 60ft-0.945 sec., 330ft-2.405, 660ft-3.568/212.13 mph, 1,000ft-4.570.

Left Lane: Greg Hunter Runs 5.593/257.68, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.463/264.60, Was #6

St. Arnaud can't be bumped and decided not to make the run.

Hunter's car left well, but labored down track and doesn't improve.

Left Lane: Ray Martin Runs 5.397/265.12, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.435/266.32, Was #5
Right Lane: Jim Whiteley Runs 5.355/268.06, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.344/268.76, Was #1

The Phoenix finalist meet again.

Two great passes to wrap up tonight's racing.

Whiteley is away first and has all of the incrementals to ensure that he stayed number one, with another strong mid-thirty pass.

Martin's crew did their jobs well and tuned the dragster up a bunch to run into the five thirties and the final number three position.

Ray Martin's incremental times: 60ft-0.938 sec., 330ft-2.396, 660ft-3.555/213.03 mph, 1,000ft-4.550.
Jim Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.932 sec., 330ft-2.385, 660ft-3.535/215.34 mph, 1,000ft-4.518.
