Winners Crowned for Postponed Bristol Event

REYNOLDS, Ga. - Racing resumed this weekend for the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event that was postponed due to weather last month in Bristol, Tenn. Final eliminations were concluded today in conjunction with qualifying and time trials for the Lucas Oil event at Silver Dollar Raceway, the final event of the NHRA Southeast Division 2012 series.

Michael Hardee defeated Glen Treadwell for the Comp Eliminator title as the pair was nearly identical off the line with Hardee running an 8.459 second lap at 161.38 for the win. Treadwell crossed the in at 8.350, 144.15.

John Taylor and Casey Spradlin took the wins in Top Sportsman and Top Dragster. Taylor, Naples, Fla., took the starting line advantage and ran it out for the win at 7.550 seconds, 177.86 mph in defeating the quicker Tyrone Graham with a run of 7.235, 180.89. Spradlin clocked in at 211.36 mph in 6.464 seconds to beat Ken Wells with a pass of 7.166, 174.28

Sherman Adcock took the final win and trophy to close out the Bristol event winning over Michael Adams in Super Gas. Adcock went 9.923, 159.83 to Adams with a 9.899, 162.02 mph pass.

Sherman Adcock 9.923, 159.83 def. Michael Adams 9.899, 162.02

John Taylor, Naples, Fla., 7.550, 177.86 def. Tyrone Graham, Sherrills Ford, N.C., 7.235, 180.98

Casey Spradlin, Ranburne, Ala., 6.464, 211.36 def. Ken Wells, Orlando, 7.166, 174.28
