7:36 p.m. The four quickest cars from the first two rounds of qualifying get to play heads-up style for a little extra money.

Elliott nailed the tree and Chappo didn't have a chance.

 Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
374M Michael Smith 314B Troy Stone
E1 0.006 6.288 220.30 ****WINNER**** 0.042 6.200 224.21
 Qualified: #3 6.364 214.28 #1 6.193 230.06

Stone was the big favorite here, but Smith almost pulled off a big holeshot upset. He was double-oh on the tree and eight hundredths quicker than his qualifying time, but Stone had a good light and just enough "under the hood" to run him down. Troy Stone's MOV: 0.0521 seconds (approximately 17 feet). He will race Elliott for the Wiseco Top Dragster Fast Four honors.
