JOLIET, Ill. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Front Wheel Drive at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Sixth annual Lucas Oil NHRA Route 66 Nationals:

Mortensen's normally Hot Rod classified car strapped a holeshot on Hoyos but the Cavalier soon drove around the Honda to a representative elapsed time with the fastest FWD speed ever.

Rhodes took a solo lap here and although off the pace went from A to B to advance to round two.

Shaun got the holeshot here but again appeared to have shift problems while Bergenholtz put down a great lap to advance.
