NORWALK, Ohio -- The 2012 IHRA Division 6 Border Bandits Summit Pro-Am Tour will include two stops and four races during the summer months at NL'Akapxm Eagle Motorplex in British Columbia and Castrol Raceway in Alberta.

IHRA's Border Bandits division will open its 2012 Summit Pro-Am season with a double Pro-Am event at NL'Akapxm Eagle Motorplex in Ashcroft, B.C. the weekend of May 18-20. The race will feature a test and tune on Friday, followed by the first of two Summit Pro-Am races on Saturday. Saturday's event will include two time trials followed by Pro-Am eliminations. Sunday's event will feature one time trial before going into eliminations.

The second stop on the Division 6 Border Bandits tour will be Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alb. on the weekend of July 6-8. Friday the track will host a track test and tune along with tech and parking. Saturday there will be two time trials with eliminations immediately following. Sunday morning there will be one time trial followed by eliminations. Saturday's event will also act as the Division 6 Summit Tournament of Champions qualifier with winners automatically advancing to the year-end championship tournament at Memphis International Raceway in October.

Now in its second year of existence, officials with the western U.S. and Canada based Border Bandits division look forward to another exciting year of racing at two exciting venues with a spot in the Summit Tournament of Champions on the line.
