Capps is 8 - 5 against Gray in prior events and Gray is 1 - 0 against Capps in prior final rounds.

Capps gets out of the gate first and starts to pull away. Gray was trying to keep pace, then it looked like he pushed out a head gasket about 700 feet out and he slowed.

Capps did not qualify at the last race and this is the 16th time a non-qualifier at one race came back to win the next race in this class.
