REYNOLDS, Ga. - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Southeast Division, event at Silver Dollar Raceway listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Artie Allen Runs 5.841/211.89, Now #3; Best prior run: 13.692/87.88, Was #7

4:24 p.m. Allen blew the went up in smoke at the hit on his first attempt. No traction problems on this one but he put out a cylinder or two on the right side late in the run.

Right Lane: Dan Page Runs 11.525/108.58, Now #7; Best prior run: 11.309/103.62, Was #7

Page goes up in the smoke at the hit and backs off the throttle.

Right Lane: Duane Shields Runs 5.389/273.72, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.972/116.21, Was #6

A good side-by-side, both went right down the groove. Shields improves on his earlier attempt and moves all the way to the second spot.
