REYNOLDS, Ga. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Southeast Division, event at Silver Dollar Raceway listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Don Fiorelli Runs 6.178/222.33, Now #1

1:19 p.m. Fiorelli had a hole out at the hit, the car drifted a little to the right, but he stayed on the throttle and made a full pass.

Left Lane: Artie Allen Runs 13.692/87.88, Now #3
Right Lane: Brandon Booher Runs 5.505/240.47, Now #1

Allen blew the tires off at the hit and backed off the throttle quickly. Booher made a nice pass but looks like he may have chewed up a piston or two as he went through the lights.

Left Lane: Dan Page Runs 11.309/103.62, Now #3

Page hits the throttle and goes up in smoke.

Right Lane: Chris Demke Runs 5.886/250.41, Now #2

Demke was supposed to run with Page but was late getting the engine cranked. He makes a decent pass but had to pedal about 400 feet out.

Left Lane: Duane Shields Runs 6.972/116.21, Now #5
Right Lane: Bill Reichert Runs 5.335/265.53, Now #1

Shields rattles the tires, gets about 300 feet out and the chute comes out. Reichert goes right down the groove and takes the top spot.
