NOBLE, Okla. - 3 p.m. - This event has been postponed until Thursday, October 13.

"Too much to do, too little dry time to do it."

That is a capsule description of the problem here this weekend.

The track crew worked from 8 a.m. until a little after 2 p.m., drying and then scraping the track.

The heavy rain last night lifted the rubber in a few spots in the left lane and for almost the full length of the right lane.

Aside from occasional light sprinkles, the rain stayed the other side of I-35 until about 2 p.m., but now it is raining and the track is wet and shiney again.

The rain is supposed to stop some time Monday, but it will take another day of dry weather to get the entire track cleaned and prepped for racing.

The Thursday date will allow those racers planning to compete both here and in Reynolds, Georgia next weekend a chance to make both races.

There will be a late afternoon test and tune session Wednesday, then racing will start at 9 a.m. Thursday, following the schedule posted earlier today.

Drag Race Central will post time-delayed results from Thursday's eliminations immediately following the completion of the event.
