Sheilds was runner-up here in '02 and '08; Reichert won here in '06 and '08. Reichert is 9 - 3 against Shields in prior events and 2 - 1 against Shields in prior final rounds.

Riechert won this one with a better light and a better run to card his third U.S. Nationals win, sending Shields home as a runner-up once again.
