NORWALK, Ohio -- Special awards from the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.

K&N Filters Horsepower Challenge award ($3,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock) - Erica Enders, ZaZa Energy Chevy Cobalt, 6.585 seconds, 209.36 mph.

Best Engineered Vehicle - Craig Olson, Top Sportsman '69 Camaro entry, Camano Island, WA.

NHRA Best Appearing Car - Mandy Teets-Seal, Super Comp '06 Racetech / Teets Racing, Manassas, VA.

NHRA Best Appearing Crew - Karen Stalba, Top Alcohol Dragster '07 Hadman / A. A. Auto Salvag entry, Hammonton, N. J.

Full Throttle Hard-Working Crew Award ($3,000 each to Top Fuel and Funny Car, $1,500 to Pro Stock and $750 to Pro Stock Motorcycle for the crews that are recognized as the hardest working of the event):
Top Fuel: Spencer Massey and his Don Schumacher racing team for making it to the finals after qualifying 7th. Massey is currently on a streak of not smoking the tires in 36 consecutive passes.
Funny Car: The pairing of Ron Capps and new crew chief Tim Richards is starting to pay dividends for the Don Schumacher Racing owned Funny Car team with Capps making it to the finals for the first time this season.
Pro Stock: Larry Morgan made it to the final round at Norwalk for the third time in his career. The Newark, Ohio native calls the Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park his home track.
Pro Stock Motorcycle: Matt Smith makes it to the final round after parting ways with his sponsorship.
