Top Alcohol Funny Car Round 1 Eliminations

NORWALK, Ohio - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, Fifth annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals:

Manzo with the starting line advantage and then his car went silent and he coasted through the 1320. Noakes in as an alternate run his quickest pass of the weekend for the win. This is the first time since Chicago 2005 that Manzo has lost in the first round at a National event.

Ferro is out of the gate first runs his quickest pass of the weekend for the win light. Mickey Ferro's incremental times: 60ft-0.939 sec., 330ft-2.475, 660ft-3.680/205.16 mph, 1,000ft-4.705. Van Hauen runs his quickest pass of the weekend in a losing effort.

Hagen, who defeated Manzo earlier today for the rain-delayed Indy division race, gets the stating line advantage here and never looks back. Hagen with his quickest pass and fastest pass of the season. Tigges with his quickest pass of the weekend in the losing effort. That is also his quickest and fastest pass this season.
