BRISTOL, Tenn. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Nitro Harley at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 11th annual Ford NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals presented by Tri-Cities Area Ford Dealers listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Mike Lehman Runs 21.961/29.15, Now #1
Right Lane: Tak Shigamatsu No Time, Now #2

Shigamatsu blew up right at the hit...Lehman blew it up just off the starting line.

Left Lane: Mike Scott Runs 7.366/154.42, Now #1
Right Lane: Jay Turner Runs 8.649/104.43, Now #2

Turner got out of the groove and over by the centerline...Scott was straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Joe Timmons Runs 7.047/177.18, Now #1
Right Lane: Damian Cownden Runs 7.517/129.54, Now #3

Timmons with a clean pass...Cownden was out of the groove and clicked it off early.

Left Lane: Randal Andras No Time, Now #8
Right Lane: Steve Dorn Runs 6.462/221.56, Now #1

Andras got out of the groove and then crooses the centerline collecting the cones. Dorn with a great looking pass, straight down the groove. Steve Dorn's incremental times: 60ft-1.104 sec., 330ft-2.855, 660ft-4.233/185.00 mph, 1,000ft-5.429.

Right Lane: Douglas Horne Runs 9.642/92.36, Now #7

Horne got out of the groove and did a great job keeping it in his lane. Grimes with a great pass...Tommy Grimes' incremental times: 60ft-1.133 sec., 330ft-2.884, 660ft-4.217/206.54 mph, 1,000ft-5.357.
