ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 42nd annual NHRA SuperNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Luigi Novelli Runs 8.145/79.19, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 81 degrees, relative humidity 26 percent, barometer 29.92 inches, adjusted altitude 1,841 feet, track temperature 124 degrees.

Novelli launched with the wheels in the air and when they came back to ground the car went up in smoke.

Left Lane: Pat Dakin No Time, Now #3
Right Lane: Dom Lagana Runs 5.455/129.39, Now #1

Dakin with problems as soon as he hit the throttle and came to a stop before he got to the Christmas tree. Lagana started to haze the tires and clicked it off early.

Left Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.940/307.86, Now #1
Right Lane: Doug Foley Runs 6.151/98.56, Now #3

Foley started to smoke the tires early in the run and clicked it off...Millican launched hard and keep it hooked up all the way down the 1000 feet. Clay Millican's incremental times: 60ft-0.860 sec., 330ft-2.200, 660ft-3.150/266.16 mph.

Left Lane: David Grubnic Runs 8.637/62.59, Now #6
Right Lane: Bob Vandergriff Runs 7.220/87.15, Now #4

Grubnic is up in smoke first and then Vandergriff and they both coast down the track.

Left Lane: Terry McMillen Runs 4.162/218.55, Now #3
Right Lane: Brandon Bernstein Runs 4.005/299.26, Now #2

McMillen is out of the groove early and then reeled it back in before he clicked it off. Bernstein with a good clean pass...Brandon Bernstein's incremental times: 60ft-0.868 sec., 330ft-2.220, 660ft-3.194/260.21 mph.

Left Lane: Morgan Lucas Runs 3.913/314.17, Now #1
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 6.630/99.66, Now #7

Langdon is up in smoke by 150 feet and clicked it off. Lucas with a real nice pass to go to the number one spot. Morgan Lucas' incremental times: 60ft-0.863 sec., 330ft-2.206, 660ft-3.140/271.84 mph.

Left Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.904/314.09, Now #2
Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.866/314.68, Now #1

This was a great side-by-side drag race with these two going to the top spots. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.848 sec., 330ft-2.188, 660ft-3.128/270.05 mph.
Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.841 sec., 330ft-2.182, 660ft-3.101/277.09 mph.

Right Lane: Larry Dixon Runs 3.869/314.46, Now #3

dixon with a real good pass to go to the number three spot. Larry Dixon's incremental times: 60ft-0.840 sec., 330ft-2.160, 660ft-3.094/271.62 mph. Massey launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Spencer Massey's incremental times: 60ft-0.831 sec., 330ft-2.143, 660ft-3.068/274.00 mph.

Left Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.876/317.94, Now #4
Right Lane: Del Worsham Runs 5.639/116.65, Now #11

worsham is up in smoke right at the 330-foot mark and clicks it off. Schumacher with a real nice pass and a big top end speed. The fastest pass of the first session.
