Hedman Hedders Best Engineered Vehicle Award ($1,000 to the best engineered vehicle) - Team Trim-Tex Suzuki Pro Stock Bike entry. Driver: Geno Scali, Palatine, Ill.

Budweiser Shootout At Pomona Award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Top Fuel) - Kenny Bernstein, Lake Forest, Calif., Budweiser dragster, 4.596 seconds, 323.12 mph.

Budweiser Shootout At Indianapolis Award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Funny Car) - Gary Densham, Bellflower, Calif., Auto Club of Southern California Ford Mustang, 4.858 seconds, 311.13 mph.

NHRA King Demon Crown Award ($3,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock) - Warren Johnson, Buford, Ga., GM Performance Parts Pontiac Grand Am, 6.808 seconds, 202.12 mph.

K&N Filters Pro Bike Klash ($1,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock Motorcycle) - Shawn Gann, Stoneville, N.C., Mac Tools Suzuki, 7.136 seconds, 187.31 mph.

Motel 6 "Who Got the Light" ($1,000 to the individual Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock driver who earns a round win in eliminations by the narrowest margin.) - Allen Johnson defeated Larry Morgan by .0033-of-a-second margin of victory in the first round of Pro Stock eliminations.
