DOHA, Qatar -- Bahrain 1 Pro Nitrous driver Khaled Mohammed is anxious to heat up the track and move up the points ladder in Round 3 of the Arabian Drag Racing League at Qatar Racing Club in Doha December 16-17. "We have made several changes to the car to try and pick up our ET," Mohammed explained. He said the team changed the clutch and several settings, but he remains confident about his performance. He won the ADRL Round 1 and made a semifinal exit last week in Round 2. "We were able to get some testing in Wednesday evening, and everything is OK for racing this week," he said. Sandstorms and cold weather kept Mohammed's Bahrain 1 teammates from testing, but forecasts call for calm winds and temperatures in the upper 70's for the next several days - great weather for racing. "It's tricky when the track is cold, and we have to adjust our tuning, but we should be fine for the race coming up," Mohammed added. The Arabian Drag Racing League features eight events with drivers and riders in 11 classes fighting for the ADRL's championship.
