DOHA, Qatar -- Entering the third round of the Arabian Drag Racing League 2010-2011 Season, former World Champion Joshua Hernandez is tied for the points lead and anxious to maintain the top spot for the Bahrain 1 Team at Qatar Racing Club, December 16-17. With clear weather and upper 70-degree days forecast, Hernandez is confident his Jim Oddy/Troy Critchley-tuned '57 Chevy Pro Mod can meet the competition. "We didn't make any wholesale changes to the car because we know we can run a time similar to the 3.66-second lap we made last week," Hernandez said. He won the first event and had a semifinal finish last week in round two. "We've got a lot of consistency, and really all we're going to do is try to pick up the ET a shade. There are a lot of heavy hitters in this series and we've really got to swing the bat and try to hit the fence on every pass. "We'll just work on the tune-up a bit and see if we can pick up a couple hundredths here and there and run some low-60's," Hernandez said. The Arabian Drag Racing League features eight events with drivers and riders in 11 classes fighting for the ADRL's championship. Round 3 runs Thursday and Friday, December 16-17 at Qatar Racing Club in Doha.
