MOHNTON, Pa. -- Tapping into both an exciting brand of racing and a fast-growing demographic, Maple Grove Raceway will present the Latin American Drag Fest on Labor Day weekend.

"We've been approached numerous times by our loyal grudge racing crowd about having a Latino event," MGR vice president/general manager Lex Dudas said. "The time is right to bring it to the forefront."

The event, to run Sept. 3-4, will feature racing and a car show with a Latino flair, including food and music. Racers are welcome to tune up during Auto Locator Grudge Racing on the evening of Sept. 2.

Bracket racing categories will include classes for cars 9.00 to 9.99 seconds; 10.00 to 11.99 seconds; and cars 12.00 seconds and slower. A Quick 10 that will be split into a Team Puerto Rico vs. Team U.S.A. format will also be picked.

The car show will feature six categories: Best car, best motorcycle, best Jeep, best paint job, best audio and a people's choice winner.
