The new champion faced off against a former champion. Tonglet is 2 - 1 against Krawiec in prior events, 2-0 in semifinal rounds.

Tonglet went red by a thousandth and Krawiec heads for the final round.

Arana is 2 - 1 against Underdahl in prior events. These two have never faced each other in a semifinal round.

Arana was first off the line and ran away from Underdahl. He will have lane choice against Krawiec in the final round.
