LAS VEGAS - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 10th annual NHRA Las Vegas Nationals:

This is the first time Whitaker and Tonglet have faced each other in eliminations.

Tonglet is number two in the points right now, 74 behind the leader Hines

Whitaker's engine died coming out of the burnout and had to be restarted. Whitaker gets out of the gate first, hangs on to the lead for about 400 feet, then Tonglet powers around him and pulls away for the win.

LE Tonglet's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.056), 330 ft(-0.029), 660ft(0.007), 1,000ft(0.051). MOV: 0.1043 seconds (approximately 28 feet).

Guidera gets a huge advantage off the line, stays out in front for the first half of the race, then Krawiec drives around him and takes the win.

This is the first time Pollacheck and Arana have faced each other in eliminations.

Arana is really late off the line but has enough horsepower to drive around Pollacheck before they reach the 330 foot mark.

In the next round it will be Tonglet with lane choice over Arana, Underdahl vs. Gann, Krawiec vs. Hines, and Stoffer vs. Smith.
