Bernstein is 14 - 8 against Grubnic in prior events. Bernstein with the starting line advantage, but Grubnic has him chased down by 300 feet. Grubnic was mixing up cylinders right in the lights, but still runs his quickest pass of the weekend for the win by 0.0398 seconds (approximately 18 feet). Bernstein with no apparent problems, but slowed from his time earlier today.

Brown is 9 - 4 against Kalitta in prior events. Brown with the starting line advantage, but then is up smoke around 330 feet and clicks it off. Kalitta launched hard and keep it hooked up to run low E.T. of the event and fastest pass of the weekend for the win light. That was a great pass for Kalitta...Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.850 sec., 330ft-2.161, 660ft-3.068/279.79 mph. Kalitta will have lane choice over Dixon in the semifinal by 0.001 seconds.
