Hoover with the starting line advantage and the lead until right at 1000 feet. Musi takes the win by 0.0184 seconds (approximately 6 feet).

Personett with the low E.T. of the round and this speed is fast enough to back up his early speed of 253.52 for National record. Brad Personett's incremental times: 60ft-1.024 sec., 330ft-2.744, 660ft-4.024/195.08 mph, 1,000ft-5.098. Personett will have lane choice over Rickie Smith in the semifinal.
